Sean McAloon

Originally from Fermanagh, Sean McAloon (1923-1998), one of the great players of the uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes), inspired and encouraged a generation of pipers in Belfast in the 1970's and '80's. His major musical influence was the Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman.

Sean appears on the Temple Records release 'Irish Traditional Music' (COMD2079), also featuring Seamus Horan, Packie Duignan, John Rea, Sean Wynne & Robin Morton
