COMD2054 Mac-talla - Mairidh Gaol Is Ceol Mac-talla - Mairidh Gaol Is Ceol Alison Kinnaird Christine Primrose Mac-talla Arthur Cormack Eilidh MacKenzie Blair Douglas COMD2054
Mac-talla have leapt to the fore in the burgeoning gaelic scene - not surprising when you look at the pedigree of the band. Arthur Cormack from Skye, Eilidh Mackenzie and Christine Primrose, are outstanding Gaelic singers in their own right and they are joined by two of the finest musicians working in their fields, Alison Kinnaird, on harp and cello, and Blair Douglas, from Skye, on keyboards and accordion.
SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY - Spiralling bewitchingly together ... This has to be THE Gaelic showcase outfit for the 1990s.
Q MAGAZINE - The phrase lost all credibility in rock circles, but the Gaelic song tradition has found its first supergroup. Although true to their roots, the music and harmonies more often than not transcend the language barrier.
LIVING TRADITION - If you buy one CD or cassette this year, make sure it is this one - it will be an experience that will become part of your life.
