Recorded with minimal overdubs and studio trickery, Mike effectively performs live in the studio and is joined on 4 of the numbers by the barrelhouse piano of Graham Scott. Features tracks from the likes of John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, Slim Harpo, Hudson Whittaker (Tampa Red), Keb Mo, Woody Gutherie, J.B. Hutto, Willie McTell plus five Whellans originals
