Early in 1985 Battlefield Band, Alison Kinnaird and Robin Morton were asked to prepare and record music for a television series about the work of the National Trust for Scotland (who own and protect a wide range of the natural and man-made heritage of Scotland).
This first album of soundtrack music (Music In Trust - Vol I - COMD2010) proved so popular that it was followed with a second volume (Music In Trust - Vol II - COMD2004).
These two albums have now been re-packaged (in 2005) as this double album set, which is available for the same price as a single CD.
Music In Trust I
FOLK ROOTS - ...demonstrates in equal measure the rich heritage of Scotland and the composing skills of those involved. As always with Temple Records the excellent music is backed by superb production
Music In Trust II
TAPLAS - This album is quite stunning - a beautifully controlled piece of work and a complete entity - I look forward to volume three.
