New Edition of a Landmark Book: Folksongs Sung in Ulster, collected by Robin Morton (Book & CD) December 20 2022

A unique and groundbreaking collection of songs which focuses on the singers, their background and the place of the songs in Ulster history and society.

Available here from Temple Records

The collection was originally published in 1970, but was  re-edited and updated by Robin Morton, just before his death in 2021.

The new edition contains a wide range of songs – humorous, tragic, political and historical. Morton’s notes are informative, deeply researched, often amusing and easy to read.

Additionally, the reader can now hear the original source singers on a 22 track CD  included with the book.

‘… a tribute to Robin’s loving energy and steadfast valuation of the voices of the people’
 John Moulden

‘… the best ballad book yet to be published…’
Benedict Kiely, Irish Times

A change to the way we package mail order CDs... November 16 2021

We're changing the way we send out CDs to countries in these Royal Mail Zones:
Europe, World Zone 1 & World Zone 2

(basically everywhere that's not UK or USA).

We're now shipping the artwork & CDs in a heavy duty PVC sleeve. You can either store them this way, or repackage in a plastic jewel case if you prefer.

From an ecological point of view this reduces the weight & volume that we send by air, and also makes it more affordable for us to carry on shipping all over the world, so we hope you agree that it's a good move.
