Battlefield Band - On The Rise
Released in 1986, there is a wide range and diversity of music and emotion on this album. None of it seems out of place. At the time, one live reviewer put it this way: "Battlefield Band were never short of daring, but their balance between the consummate, the stylish, the cute, the bizzare and the downright astonishing rightfully earned them one of the best receptions of the weekend". As the album sleeve says, "Scotland like you've never heard it" - well, except from Battlefield Band!
I think it is without doubt the best yet ... They are really tight and really rocking ... Don't get trampled in the rush.
