Mike Whellans is a Scottish bluesman who can also claim some serious folk credentials as an ex 'Boy of the Lough' and musical sidekick to Shetland fiddler Aly Bain. The blues is his first and greatest love though, and Whellans is now widely recognised as one of the masters of the rare and specialised one-man blues band form, following in the footsteps of Doctor Isaiah Ross, Jesse Fuller and the great Tony ‘Duster’ Bennett.
