Gordon Duncan

Gordon Duncan was considered by many pipers to be one of the most exciting and innovative players in the world. His talent for composition was widely acknowledged and many of his tunes are frequently played by solo pipers, pipe bands, folk groups and ceilidh bands.

The dexterity of his fingering had to be seen to be believed and this, combined with his versatility, always pleased and excited audiences whenever he played.

Gordon won many accolades for his piping including the prestigious MacAllan trophy at the Lorient Festival in Brittany. He was a special performer and a world class entertainer.

Gordon Duncan sadly passed away, aged only 41, on 14th December 2005.
