Battlefield Band - Across The Borders
A second album of live material from the great Scottish group, recorded during their three concerts in The Queen's Hall during the 1996 Edinburgh International Festival. This album showcases the much loved line-up of Alan Reid, Alistair Russell, Iain MacDonald and John McCusker at their live best.
The album also features several tracks recorded with guest artists who appeared at the concerts: Scottish harper Alison Kinnaird, the great Yorkshire singer and musician Kate Rusby, Irish flute legend Seamus Tansey, Uillean piper Eric Rigler and country band The Radio Sweethearts.
"...another live one from the Battlefield Band has been long overdue, but as always, worth the wait"
ROOTSWORLD
"... an excellent album...the finished work captures the moment for all time and this is a perfect souvenir of a Battlefield Band concert"
LIVING TRADITION
"...the latest offering from Scotlands finest"
